Duet Design Group Evokes French Style For Defining Design
The 4th Annual Defining Design event will take place on Thursday, May 9, from 5 – 8 pm. Duet Design Group is one of the six design firms participating. Duet is a full-service, luxury interior design firm that has a reputation for following a rigorous and comprehensive design process as well as for impeccable client service. Their design process begins with a thorough discussion about the client’s vision for the project, making note of all color, pattern, texture and other preferences, and a review of collected inspirations. Every project is then spearheaded by one of the two principals, Devon Tobin or Miranda Cullen.
Prior to founding Duet Design Group, Miranda owned her own design company and had been recognized by a number of builder’s associations with awards for exceptional interior design. Meanwhile, Devon, a LEED Green associate and professional member of ASID, was working with a local architectural design firm. Their paths crossed in 2011 in the carriage house behind Devon’s childhood home. The rest is history. With a handful of personal connections and a passion for design, the duo teamed up and set out to create an interior design company together. This partnership has exceeded their expectations at every turn, and today, Devon and Miranda have a combined 30+ years of experience, lead a dedicated and talented team of professionals, have built a new office “complex,” and have created a foundation to help improve the environments of those who cannot afford the services of a professional designer. Their work has been recognized and featured in LUXE magazine, Colorado Homes and Lifestyles magazine, Reign magazine, 5280 Home, and Denver Life magazine, among others.
Defining Design is a celebration of the designers that we have the privilege of working with and offers an opportunity for them to showcase their “ultimate” bedroom design for our customers to see. It is the ultimate “meet and greet,” bringing together designers, clients and customers, luxury textiles and our knowledgeable staff. During the event, customers are able to purchase anything from our offering for a rare 20% discount. In turn, each year we partner with a local non-profit and donate a portion of the proceeds to that charity. This year, we are partnering with the CU Johnson Depression Center and they will be the beneficiary of a donation from us. The board chairwoman, Heather Mulvihill, will be on hand during the evening, and will speak to the Center’s mission and work in the community.
Adding even more party to the atmosphere is our media sponsor, LUXE magazine. For the third year in a row, LUXE executives will be on hand, providing, among other things, a photographer taking photos of everyone.
We hope you will be able to make it on May 9, from 5 – 8 pm to meet the Duet Design Group team, as well as the other five design firms that are participating. For more details click on the link below.
