Savoir faire: The Art of Expertise and Gracious Living, with Yves Delorme
The Brass Bed, located here in Denver, Colorado, in the heart of Cherry Creek North since 1978, has been bringing Yves Delorme’s iconic bed and bath creations to customers along the front range for decades. As a women-owned, second-generation Denver Legacy Business, we have many things in common with Yves Delorme, chief among them a sense of legacy.

We celebrate Yves Delorme’s Comite’ Colbert distinction and would love to share a little history on their approach to artful living.
Selections from the House of Yves delorme
Textiles have a profound place in our history and present a form of collective human memory as a recording of technical gestures and knowledge that preceded their weaving. Yves Delorme works with the most skilled artisans in each area that contribute to its creations: engraving, embroidery and weaving. These techniques are transmitted within our specialized studios in Nieppe and Sevelinges, in France, with over 125 expert crafts persons who work diligently to guarantee the quality of each detail, rendering the style and quality that the House affirms.

Yves Delorme is invested as a member of the Comité Colbert, to promote its savoir-faire and French art de vivre. The House is also recognized by the French government as a « Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, » or Company of Living Patrimony, rendering homage to the highest quality in manufacturing, source of an authentic savoir-faire, rare and mastered for almost 180 years.
Among its artisans, the House is honored to count two « Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres,» the highest honor bestowed by the Ministry of Culture, as an acknowledgement of their precious savoir-faire as well as their capacity to transmit and preserve it.
The House of Yves Delorme opened a new tailoring studio in Spring 2020 in Nieppe in the Hauts-de-France region, thus insuring the French manufacturing of its bed linens. The energy efficient building, well adapted to the most modern work environments, houses all the stages of bed linens production and the 80 employees who are all expert tailors in the luxury industry.
In 2023, the Maison Yves Delorme created a 100m2 in Nieppe.
Within the same Production studio, The Yves Delorme Bed Linens Production Training Center was established to transmit its precious savoir-faire to future generations, thus rendering homage to the highest quality in manufacturing, source of an authentic savoir-faire, rare and mastered for nearly 180 years.
Yves Delorme maintains an auto-sufficient and ecological weaving studio in the small village of 1500 inhabitants named Sevelinges.
It is in this particular region with a long tradition of textile weaving that, since 1920, the brand has developed cutting-edge industrial tools specialized in toweling and jacquard table linens weaving, all made with the most noble of fibers.
The studio operates autonomously in order to optimize logistics and to avoid pollution due to excessive transportation while maintaining high ecological standards as well as the excellence of competitive French manufacturing.
Fortified with this precious regional heritage , Yves Delorme aims at further improvements in productivity, innovation and working conditions for the 25 employees that produce 400,000 individual jacquard products.
