European White Goose Down Pillows & Comforters
Machine wash in warm water in a front-loading machine only. Do not use washing machines with a central post agitator.
Use a minimal amount of mild detergent or a detergent designed specifically for cleansing down. The Brass Bed sells multiple detergent options, including down wash formulations.
Wash two pillows per cycle or one comforter separately from other items.
Tumble dry on low heat until completely dry. This typically requires two to three drying cycles. Remove down between drying cycles and reposition them back into the dryer so various new surfaces are exposed during the drying process.
Place two tennis balls in the dryer with your down items to redistribute the fill and aid in drying.
Do not use dryer sheets, fabric softeners or bleach.
Pro-Tip: Placing your down pillows and comforters in direct sunlight for several hours after drying or after use sanitizes and furthers the process of removing moisture from down products, keeping them lofty longer.
You may also have down products professionally laundered if you prefer. Never allow a commercial cleaner to dry clean down products. The chemicals used for dry cleaning degrade the integrity of down plumes.
Maintenance between washings: pillows and comforters should be fluffed to redistribute the down after every use. This allows air to move freely within the items, facilitating evaporation of moisture and trace body oils collected during sleep cycles.
Due to health regulations, all down items are final sale and non-refundable.
